Rebel is East Carolina University's arts & literary publication. From August 2006 until May 2007, I served as Editor in Chief and creative director for the Rebel magazine.

In the fall of 2006 with the help of three hired staff members, and an annual (2006-2007) budget of $30,000, we organized an art competition and exhibition. We recruited judges, loosely oversaw judging, and organized a reception for the event. in the winter and spring, we designed the show book for the competition. We finished the year $3,000 under budget, and we released the book on time for the first time in half a decade (for either on time, or under budget, much less both, which makes it even more special). as proud as we were of that, we were more proud of the resulting book, and how true it was to the artwork and the winners.
